Acceptance of terms
By using understandingAI ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. These terms apply to all users including free-tier users, Pro subscribers, and visitors.
Description of service
understandingAI provides a prompt engineering platform that generates AI system prompts and master prompts for various AI tools. The Service includes a free tier and a paid Pro tier. Features and limits for each tier are described on the pricing page.
Use of the service
You may use the Service for personal, professional, or commercial purposes, subject to these terms. You agree not to:
- Use the Service to generate prompts designed to cause harm, facilitate illegal activities, or produce content that violates the terms of service of the AI tools you use them with.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or extract the prompt templates or generation logic in a systematic or automated way.
- Share, resell, or redistribute Pro account access to third parties.
- Use the Service in a way that interferes with or disrupts the service infrastructure.
- Misrepresent your identity or impersonate another person when creating an account.
Pro subscriptions
Pro subscriptions are billed monthly or annually through Freemius. By subscribing you authorize recurring charges to your payment method at the rate shown at checkout.
Cancellation: You may cancel your Pro subscription at any time from your account settings or by contacting support. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We do not provide prorated refunds for unused portions of a billing period.
Refunds: Refunds are available within 7 days of initial purchase if you are not satisfied. Contact contact@understandingai.net within 7 days of your purchase date.
Price changes: We may change Pro subscription pricing with 30 days notice. Price changes do not apply to active annual subscriptions until renewal.
AI-generated content
The prompts generated by understandingAI are AI-assisted outputs based on your inputs. You own the prompts you generate. We make no warranties about the accuracy, effectiveness, or fitness for purpose of generated prompts. Prompts are starting points - review and edit them before use.
You are responsible for how you use generated prompts with third-party AI tools. We are not responsible for outputs produced by AI tools you use the prompts with.
Intellectual property
The understandingAI platform, including the prompt generation system, guide content, user interface, and branding, is owned by wBuild.dev and protected by copyright. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our platform or guide content without written permission.
The prompts you generate are yours. We do not claim ownership of user-generated prompt outputs.
Disclaimer of warranties
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that generated prompts will produce any specific outcome with any particular AI tool.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, wBuild.dev and understandingAI shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of business, or reliance on AI-generated content.
Our total liability for any claim related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, United States, without regard to conflict of law provisions. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Washington State.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the Service evolves. We will notify subscribers of material changes by email. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
